Marco Bailey ei vaja pikka tutvustust, on ju tegemist DJ ja produtsendiga, keda võib pidada techno-ja klubimuusika ikooniks, olles orbiidil olnud juba üle veerand sajandi. Kasvades üles Belgias, kus underground klubimuusika juba sünnist saati soojalt vastu võetud on, taipas Marco juba 80ndate lõpus, et ta eelistab olla pigem DJ-puldis kui tantsupõrandal.
Kuigi Bailey esimene reliis nägi ilmavalgust juba 90ndate keskel, siis tema tõeline läbimurre toimus alles aastal 2000, kui Carl Coxi labeli alt ilmus Bailey EP „Play It Back”. Aastal 2002 rajas Bailey enda labeli MB Elektronics, mille alt annab ta omaloomingut välja tänaseni, kusjuures labeli back kataloog on kasvanud juba üle 150 reliisini, nende seas pärleid sellistelt artistidelt nagu Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, The Advent, Nic Fanciulli, Speedy J jne.
Aastate jooksul on Marco Bailey välja andnud ka kuus albumit ja teinud koostööd lisaks ka selliste labelitega nagu Bedrock, Sleaze, Bonzai ja Drumcode. Bailey juhib ka enda podcasti „Electronic Force”, millel on tänaseks juba üle 300 episoodi, sh külalismixe tegijatelt nagu Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini ja Carlo Lio.
Tehnolegendi soojendab R2 „Progressioon” saatejuht Solid Steel, kes valmistab selleks peoks ette spetsiaalse warmup techno seti ning pidulistest pigistavad viimase välja DJ-d Kevin Park ja Kinnu.

Marco Bailey is somewhat considered an icon when it comes to techno and the dance music industry as a whole. It starts with a beat, and for Marco that as in the late 80’s. In 2014 he celebrated 25 years of Marco Bailey, a true achievement for someone who is an ambassador for the scene as well as an amazing DJ and producer.
He grew up in Belgium, and it all started out when he went to a small local club in his nearby city. At this point, he knew little and didn’t have any musical heroes, but soon released that he would rather be behind the decks than on the dance floor.
After teaching himself his early days in the 90’s were all about hard work and dedication. Playing gigs for small fees or sometimes even for free, this was how Marco learnt the trade and got to his feet, created a small local following playing everything from rock, funk and hiphop. In 1994 he found house and techno, where he started releasing on some small labels, under “Marco Bailey”.
His break came in 2000 with his first EP on Carl Cox’s Intec imprint with “Play It Back”. Over the next couple of years he worked on his own imprint, launching MB Elektronics, with the first release in 2002 with “Caprioska”. The releases came flowing over the next few years, which saw the release of his critically acclaimed “Rube Boy” album back in 2004, soon followed by “Dragon Man” LP on John Digweed’s Bedrock in 2011.
Since 2000, he has had numerous releases on Intec as well as Bedrock who have supported his techno productions from the beginning. Not forgetting labels including Sleaze and Drumcode in recent years, as well as his very own MB Elektronics, with now over 150 releases to date since its inception, the label is considered one of the top techno imprints in the industry, with releases from the likes of Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, The Advent, Nic Fanciulli and Speedy J to name a few.
His most recent album was with 12 track “High Volume” released back in 2013 on MB Elektronics, dubbed by some techno aficionados as a masterpiece. It was at this time, he also released an up close and personal documentary “Marco Bailey”.
His Electronic Force podcast has been a huge success from the get-go, with almost 300 episodes to date, he has had every artist on board from Carl Cox, Alan Fitzpatrick, Umek, Joseph Capriati, Sam Paganini and Carlo Lio. It’s heard by millions of listeners in more than 50 countries.
